how bad do I want it??

I really wonder sometimes.  I continue to buy junk, I continue to eat junk…and keep telling myself tomorrow will be better.  When is it really going to be tomorrow.  I think I am just whiny and pitiful because I was sick this week.  But I looked at myself in the mirror and I just felt like a glob.  So what is it going to take?  I was laid up in bed in extreme pain…for two days…some kind of gas/intestinal thing.  Is that enough or will it blow out of memory just as quickly as it came and I go back to my old habits….

So stop buying the junk woman! ;) It is particularly hard when you are under stress but I have been there too…what day is good?! like you said when is it really tomorrow?! Well its really tomorrow when you burn all your junk food and kick yourself in the butt butt (my niece’s saying). You have every reason to be whiny & pitiful when you are sick. When you feel better, thats the time to say..”Ok New day…I have been sick..my stomach can handle less food because of it..NOW lets do this thing!!!” I really do like being sick..weird huh…but not the actual sick part…but you know the days after where you realize your stomach has actually shrunk..you just dont have the capacity you used to…Capitalize on it while you can! Use this time to eat less junk and more good stuff. This is the perfect time to start a new healthy habit.

    :) hang in there hun!

depends what you really want for yourself, my friend. i have been there, too, waiting for tomorrow to come for me to get going. it really only starts when we make the steps. as you know, i am a huge fan of the littel tiny steps as i can actually do those and feel good about something right away versus get swallowed by my own globby feelings. little tiny things like not buy one junk thing you normally do or trade one soda for water, really really small. and then i’ll also give you a hug and a kick in the toosh! feel better and you really can do it and you are worth doing it for!

I can totally relate to you right now. Each morning I wake up and rededicate myself that today is the day. I blow it somehow and I do it again the next day. One of these times I will just get it right and stop beating myself up. You are strong enough, just put in the amount of effort you have and work it. I figure if i can make one small improvement that day it is better than doing nothing.

I think it is time to listen. I know I usually have to have really sore joints before I say to myself, ok, it is time to knock it off!!!

Listen to your body Lyssa. I know if we do it more days then not, things will improve. Just believe. I can get stuck in a rut too, but it is our choice to make. Is it time? I believe you want to see some progress, so let’s try to believe in ourselves. We like to make it is so that if we want a treat we must go out for it and preferable walk to get it. But hey, we just bought a truck load of salty snacks last night. So, we must have the belief in ourselves.

Lately I am trying to be very satisfied with a nice supper and then I brush my teeth and that is it. So far, it is working…. :)

    *hugs* Good luck!

First step. Stop buying the junk and ask yourself what kind of pay off are you getting from eating like this? I learned this from Dr. Phil, and the I decided the pay off wasn’t worth the momentary gratification. You can do it, just take that first step. Hugs, Kama
